img_0500Isaiah 64:6

Yesterday, I was cleaning the top of our mower.  When I came inside, our young American Eskimo dog rolled over for affection.  I looked at his soft, white fur and then glanced at my filthy hands.  I realized I couldn’t show my love for him.  I would have to wash the filth off to pet him.

Spiritually, we look “like filthy rags” to God.  To get near to Him, we need to “wash the filth off” by repenting of our sins.
