Habakkuk 1:8a

Anyone who knows me, knows that I love horses.  So, when I read in Habakkuk about Babylonian horses being faster than leopards, I was very curious to know the speed contrast of the two animals.  According to http://www.speedofanimals.com/animals/horse, “The world record for a horse galloping over a short, sprint distance is 88 kilometres per hour (55 mph).”  In searching online for leopard speed, http://www.ask.com/pets-animals/fast-can-leopard-run-deeb9e03f5aa98b5 said, “A leopard can reach a top speed of 30 miles per hour. The fastest animal on Earth is said to be a cheetah, which can reach a top speed of 70 miles per hour.”

I didn’t mention that in Habakkuk 1:8, God was talking.  It makes sense that our God who created horses and leopards, knew exactly what they could do.
