Colossians 4:3       1 John 4:8

Do you write letters occasionally?  Paul wrote letters, sometimes in chains.  He wrote Romans, 1 & 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 & 2 Thessalonians, 1 & 2 Timothy, Titus and Philemon.  It is thought that he wrote Ephesians, Philemon and 2 Timothy while in prison.   If the chains were on Paul’s wrists, I think heavy and/or clanking chains would have made writing difficult.

After all of Paul’s efforts to write loving letters, I wonder if he received any letters.  Even though he arranged for his letters to be sent while he was in prison, maybe he wasn’t allowed to receive letters.  Or maybe he wasn’t expecting letters and was satisfied knowing that he was doing his part in communicating and expressing Christian love and instruction to various people.

It’s important that we remember to communicate in some way to others about Christ.  There’s no more loving topic than Him.  He is love.
