Proverbs 15:29, 25:26

Our daughter has learned more about similes in Reading this year.  In Proverbs, the author (Solomon wasn’t the only author, according to my NIV Bible) used quite a few similes but with much more meat than an elementary simile.  He wrote, “Like a muddied spring or a polluted well is a righteous man who gives way to the wicked.”

An earlier Proverb says that God is far away from wicked people.  If you’re starting to go down the path of the wicked, turn back to God before it’s too late.  But if you’re trying to be righteous, keep up the good work!
