Genesis 1:20-23

One day I saw several bird species on and around our city’s river.  Bald Eagles soared, Canada Geese honked, ducks dove underwater, pigeons playfully swooped, and a gull grabbed a small fish.

I started to wonder how many bird species God made.  We have a book, “Birds of the World” that is about an inch thick.  It boasts it has over 800 species covered.

After a check online, I found that wiki.answers.com says there are approximately 10,000 bird species in the world.  Our Creator knows the actual number.

Isn’t it something that birds are only part of what God accomplished on the 5th day?  Amazing!
