About a week ago, my family and I watched “Courageous” again, a movie that promotes a traditional and biblical family view.  You might have heard lately that Chick-fil-A also promotes that view.  If you didn’t know Chick-fil-A has been in the news, here is part of an Associated Press article:

ATLANTA (AP) – …Chick-fil-A, the fast-food chain known for putting faith ahead of profits by closing on Sundays, is standing firm in its opposition to gay marriage after touching off a furor earlier this month.

Gay rights groups have called for a boycott, the Jim Henson Co. pulled its Muppet toys from kids’ meals, and politicians in Boston and Chicago told the chain it is not welcome there…The latest skirmish in the nation’s culture wars began when Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy told the Baptist Press that the company was “guilty as charged” for backing “the biblical definition of a family.” In a later radio interview, he ratcheted up the rhetoric: “I think we are inviting God’s judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at him and say, ‘We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage.'”

Gay advocates are angry about what he said, but the Bible backs him up.  In Matthew 19, Jesus talked about man and wife becoming one flesh.  And in Romans 1 is a section heading that reads, “God’s Wrath…” and then proceeds to mention abandoning natural relations.

If you have a traditional and biblical family view, please get out on Wednesday, August 1st and support Chick-fil-A!  Don’t be afraid to go.  Be strong and courageous (2 Chronicles 32:7a) and order a lot of Chick-fil-A food Wednesday and beyond!
