The Jordan River is in the news lately and here’s what Wikipedia says:

“An environmentalist organisation, Friends of the Earth, Middle East (FoEME), said in a report that the Jordan River could dry up by 2011 unless the decay is stopped.”

If that’s true, and it does dry up, for starters, Christian kids will have to sing a revised version of, “Michael, Row the Boat Ashore.”  The song says that the river is deep and wide, cold, etc.  The words would need to be sung in the past tense. Also, Christians everywhere would be saddened to lose such a key part of Biblical history.
